1,880 new COVID-19 cases, 29 additional deaths reported in Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,880 confirmed COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 577,902 since the start of the pandemic.This marks the third straight day the DPH has reported more than 1,800 new confirmed cases in their daily COVID-19 data report.State health officials also added 29 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 16,498.As of Saturday, a total of 3,229,420 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to the state, of which 2,863,460 — or 88.7% — have been administered.
