Jennifer Aniston is sharing her personal connection to COVID-19 in order to warn other about the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a post to Instagram Sunday, the actress, 51, shared two photos. One of a person in a hospital bed attached to a cords and a ventilator and one of her and “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox wearing matching masks.

“This is our friend Kevin. Perfectly healthy, not one underlying health issue. This is Covid. This is real,” Aniston captioned the post. “We can’t be so naive to think we can outrun this…if we want this to end, and we do, right? The one step we can take is PLEASE #wearadamnmask.”

She continued, “Just think about those who’ve already suffered through this horrible virus. Do it for your family. And most of all yourself. Covid affects all ages.”

She added a “PS” that the hospital photo was taken in early April.

“Thank god he has almost recovered now. Thank you all for your prayers 🙏🏼❤️” she added.

Aniston’s message was praised by people, including fellow celebs, in the comment section.

Gwyneth Paltrow wrote, “Right on sister”

Michelle Pfeiffer commented, “Baffling why this so hard for some people”

Naomi Campbell wrote, “Will keep him my prayers 🙏🏾thank you for sharing @jenniferaniston ♥️”

Josh Gad shared four praying hand emojis.

This isn’t the first time Aniston has urged her followers to take the virus seriously.

On June 30, she slammed the politicization of face coverings on Instagram and shared a friendly reminder to “wear a damn mask.”

“People seem worried about their ‘rights being taken away’ by being asked to wear a mask,” Aniston captioned a picture of herself wearing one. “This simple and effective recommendation is being politicized at the expense of peoples’ lives. And it really shouldn’t be a debate.”

The “Friends” alum said she does “believe in the basic goodness of people” and acknowledged that masks are “inconvenient and uncomfortable.” But Aniston emphasized that “so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough” to flatten the curve.
