They had a back and forth match up until Banks took over and beat down the champion. Asuka tried to mount a comeback, but Banks sent her head first into the turnbuckle. Asuka caught her with a code breaker. Banks attempted to hit a german suplex off the apron, but Asuka countered it and went for it herself. They traded shots and Banks powerbombed her into the barricade. Back in the ring, Banks hit a frog splash off the top rope for 2.

Banks locked in the Banks Statement, but Asuka got to the bottom rope. Asuka fired back with a series of kicks to the challenger. Asuka with a german suplex then a hip attack for 2. Banks knocked Asuka off the top rope and went for a moonsault, but Asuka fought back.

Banks hit a knee strike in the corner, but slipped on the middle rope and sold her knee. Bayley attacked Kairi Sane at ringside. Asuka and Banks did a series of quick pinfall attempts. Asuka got the rear-naked choke in, but Banks ran into the ring and Asuka kicked her in the head. Banks grabbed a title and the referee took it away from her. Asuka accidentally sprayed the green mist into the eyes of the referee. Bayley hit Asuka in the back with the title. Bayley put the referee shirt on and counted the pinfall as Banks pinned Asuka. Banks was never announced as the champion and no one seems to know the actual finish, but Banks walked out with the title.
