A series of crashes have caused major delays on Route 283 in Lancaster County this morning.- Right now, the eastbound lanes of 283 are shut down at Route 722/State Road in East Hempfield Township. What we knowAround 5:30 a.m., a multi-vehicle crash shut down all lanes of 283. That crash was cleared and around 7:20 a.m., the road reopened.Then, shortly before 8 a.m. another crash happened at the same location. That crash has shut down the eastbound lanes.
