For the fourth year in a row, New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman owns a top-15 pick in the NFL Draft.

And for the fourth year in a row, Gettleman will use it to add an offensive piece to the puzzle. That’s according to ESPN’s Todd McShay, who released his last first-round mock draft on Wednesday.

McShay has the Giants selecting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts at No. 11. Here’s why.

With the top three wide receivers and top two cornerbacks off the board, filling those needs would mean significant reaches for the Giants here. Offensive line could be in play, as could the edge rush. But if Pitts is still there at No. 11, it’d be really hard for New York to do anything but add the 6-6 speedy and versatile matchup nightmare. Giants tight end Evan Engram has missed 14 games over four years and is a free agent after next season. In the meantime, the Giants could enjoy a fantastic duo at tight end — Pitts is versatile enough to play with Engram and be moved around the formation — and provide quarterback Daniel Jones with a playmaker.

In his mock, McShay has LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase going to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 6, Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith going to the Detroit Lions at No. 7 and Crimson Tide teammate Jaylen Waddle going go the Miami Dolphins at No. 8.

Pitts would join running back Saquon Barkley (No. 2 in 2018), quarterback Daniel Jones (No. 6 in 2019) and offensive tackle Andrew Thomas (No. 4 in 2020) on the Giants offense.
