In the second game of the NBA’s play-in tournament, the No. 7 Boston Celtics take on the No. 8 Washington Wizards at the TD Garden Tuesday night. The winner moves on to face the No. 2 Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs as the East’s seventh seed. The loser will face Indiana Pacers to determine the No. 8 seed.
The Celtics (36-36) had a disappointing season after reaching the Eastern Conference finals last year. While they haven’t earned a traditional playoff spot yet, they’ll have a chance to lock up their seventh straight postseason berth with a win against Washington. However, through the opening 24 minutes of play on Tuesday night, it is Bradley Beal who is leading the charge on the offensive end as his 13 points, six rebounds and five assists have helped Washington take a slim lead into the halftime break.
