The Indianapolis Colts today released their Thursday injury report for Week 2 of the NFL season ahead of their Sunday game.

Linebacker Darius Leonard missed practice today with an ankle injury and an illness (non COVID-19 related). Leonard is in serious jeopardy of missing Sundays game against the Rams after failing to practice so far this week. If Leonard can’t play Sunday expect EJ Speed to step into the starting line up at the Will linebacker spot.

Left guard Quenton Nelson continued to miss practice today with back and ankle injuries. Nelson is struggling at the moment with a back injury that has flared up within the last two weeks. If Nelson can’t play Sunday then Chris Reed will start in his place and line up against Aaron Donald.

Cornerback Xavier Rhodes continues to miss practice with a calf injury. Rhodes is yet to practice in the regular season so far and looks set to miss a second game in a row. If Rhodes does miss the game this week then expect Carrie to play in his place again.

Right tackle Braden Smith missed practice again today with a foot injury. Smith picked up a foot injury last Sunday in the Seahawks game and has been unable to practice since. If Smith is unable to play on Sunday, which it is looking very likely, then Matt Pryor will start in his place.

Defensive end Kwity Paye missed practice today with a hamstring injury. Paye managed to practice yesterday although it was limited, however he was unable to today. With Paye’s hamstring seemingly regressing he could miss Sunday’s game if he can’t practice tomorrow. Paye will be one to monitor closely tomorrow.

Left tackle Eric Fisher (Achilles) and defensive end Kemoko Turay (groin) were both limited today in practice. Fisher looks like he could make his Colts debut Sunday but a decision will be made after tomorrow’s practice. Turay could make his season debut this week after missing last weeks game with a groin injury. The Colts will need Turay especially if Paye can’t play this week.

Wide receiver Mike Strachan was limited at practice today with an ankle injury. Strachan being limited is less than ideal especially with the Colts already down TY Hilton at the receiver spot.

Tight end Jack Doyle (rest) and Khari Willis (illness) both missed practice today.
