Much has already been said and written about the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Even Samsung is no longer trying to hide the device. The company has previously confirmed that it will unveil its next-generation flagship lineup on February 9, 2022.

The camera will be one of the biggest selling points of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. As the launch event draws near, it appears that Samsung might be giving us a glimpse of the device’s camera capabilities.

First Galaxy S22 Ultra camera sample looks very promising

From what we know so far, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will ship with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor coupled with a 108-megapixel wide-angle sensor. There will also be dual 10-megapixel sensors one with 3x and the other with 10x optical zoom.

The cameras on Samsung’s “Ultra” flagships have always been exceptional. So there are high hopes for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung has been hyping up the low-light photography capabilities of the camera in all of the teasers it has released so far.

Samsung posted a picture on its official social media accounts yesterday which seems to be a Galaxy S22 Ultra camera sample. It uses the same caption that Samsung has been using to hype up the low-light performance in its teasers. Why the Galaxy S22 Ultra? Samsung tends to focus its marketing efforts on the top-of-the-line model.

The image in question is a shot from the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Samsung has long been a sponsor of the Olympics so it makes sense why the company is using this opportunity to highlight its upcoming flagship.

It also mentions the February 9, 2022 date which is when Samsung will officially unveil the device. This is yet another indication that this might just be a Galaxy S22 Ultra camera sample. As far as low-light photography goes, the results look very promising. February 9 can’t come soon enough.
