Disney World announced AdventHealth will become their official health care provider. AdventHealth World of Wellness will provide medical support to Disney World guests, which includes a new ER and Urgent Care building at Flamingo Crossings Town Center. Guests and nearby residents will both be able to take advantage of the new center.Disney also announced their guests will be able to get help from the AdventHealth virtual care app through their MyDisney Experience.AdventHealth’s care concierge and vacation planning will be able to help guests with their needs, from personal care to special needs.Disney says AdventHealth for Children will be offering “Disney touches” at the Walt Disney pavilion to provide a warm experience for children.The announcement comes a day after Disney released that they will stop taking the temperatures of employees and guests later this month.“Following the advice of the CDC and our local health officials, we will phase out on-site temperature screenings at Walt Disney World Resort for Cast Members beginning May 8 and Guests on May 16,” a statement on Disney’s website said.Disney has been conducting temperature screenings since it reopened last year after being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
