Today, YouTube TV is adding eight ViacomCBS channels to its lineup. The new channels include: BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount, TV Land, and VH1.

YouTube announced in May that a group of ViacomCBS channels would be added this summer, in two phases. In total, there will be 14 new channels added to the lineup.

“We’re excited to launch ViacomCBS’ portfolio on YouTube TV this summer, ” said Lori Conkling, Global Head of Partnerships at YouTube TV when the announcement was made in May. “Our expanded partnership delivers on our promise to offer a premium portfolio of content to our YouTube TV subscribers, as well as across the YouTube platforms.”

With the addition of the new channels, YouTube TV will be raising its monthly cost to $64.99 beginning July 30, 2020.

We predicted this price hike in May, just after the announcement that the lineup of new channels would be coming. YouTube TV launched with a cost of $35/month in February 2017 and saw its first increase in 2018, to $40/month, when the service expanded to 94 markets and added channels. The price went up again April 2019, to $49.99/month, when YouTube TV added Discovery Networks. This summer will mark the biggest price jump for the service since launching.
